The Baby Brezza Baby Food Maker offers a whole lot more than just a traditional blender. That’s because it’s actually a blender and a steamer that’s designed specifically for making food for your baby. With this system all you have to do is put the food that you want into the bowl and set your own steam time. The mixer will take care of the rest for you. It blends everything down and then steams it so it’s safe and yummy for your baby to eat.

Completely BPA free and phthalate free, the bowl as well as the blade to go inside of it are dishwasher safe, so you don’t have to worry about the cleaning process before you’re ready to mix up the next dish. You get five different time settings for steam as well as the option to steam and blend or just do one or the other. Decide it’s ready before the time is up? There’s also a stop function so you can stop whenever you want.

Magic Bullet Baby Bullet

BEST BABY FOOD BLENDER

The Magic Bullet Baby Bullet is actually more than just a blender.  You get 6 date dial cups, a short cup, a resealable lid, a tip proof tray and the batch bowl, plus a whole lot more. With the batch tools you’ll be able to make up a whole week of food for your baby and separate it into smaller containers that are even dated and sealed. Then all you do is stick them in the tray that keeps them from spilling or tipping while you transport them or while you’re storing them. Just like that they’re ready to go anytime.

With this system you’re definitely getting everything you could possibly need. The system uses a 200 watt motor and produces 8 cups of food in just one single jar. The containers are all BPA free so you know they’re safe for your family and they’re dishwasher safe so you don’t have to worry about the cleanup process. Just put them in the dishwasher and be ready to go next week.

This one comes in four different colors and has 11 different pieces so you’re going to be ready for absolutely anything. Priced a little lower, around $40, it comes with the base and three different jars that you can use to blend in so you get different amounts whenever you want them. It’s also able to do more than just blend. You can use it for mixing and chopping as well as grinding some harder products.

When you pick up this blender you’re also getting a 10 second recipes book that makes it a whole lot easier for you to figure out just what you want to make, and do it quickly. All of the cups and lids are dishwasher safe, making it a whole lot easier to clean and the blade is super high torque as well as having a cross blade so you get just what you need every time.

Cuisinart Mini Prep Blender

The Cuisinart Mini Prep Blender is priced around $40 and is designed to chop up everything and then blend it down into the right consistency for your favorite smoothies or your baby’s favorite food. Available in several color options and 2 size options, this blender is completely dishwasher safe and easy to clean when you’re done mixing up food for the day. Made with BPA free plastic and stainless steel blades, the entire system is lightweight and easily transportable when needed.

The 250 watt processor and 3-4 cup plastic container are easy to use and you can easily pour everything you want into the top and get it just right. The handle on the bowl also makes it super easy to pour out whatever you’ve made into your own containers, so you’re going to have everything stored just the way you want.

BEABA Babycook 4-in-1

BEST BABY FOOD BLENDER

You’ll pay a bit more for the BEABA Babycook 4-in-1 at around $150, but it’s going to do a whole lot when it comes to prepping your baby’s food. It’s able to cook and process your baby food in less than 15 minutes and it’s able to steam, blend, defrost or reheat anything that you want to serve. That means you can even whip up some baby food and freeze it for use later then put it in this blender to heat it back up so it’s all ready for your baby to enjoy. When you’re using it you also get an auto-shutoff feature that has an audible alert whenever the machine turns off. The water reservoir is made with stainless steel and the plastic canister contains no lead, phthalate or BPA.

You can put everything in the dishwasher when you’re done with it or slide it under the cabinets when you’ve got it ready for next time. Since it makes over 17 servings of baby food at a time you won’t have a problem making sure it’s ready to go whenever you want or that you have the right amount of baby food ready.

Any of these baby food blenders is going to get you and your little one ready for the day, so make sure you’re not missing out on anything when it comes to keeping your little one on healthy and fresh food.

Best Baby Stroller Guide of 2017

Best Baby Stroller Guide of 2017

Becoming a parent doesn't mean you no longer have a life. If anything, your life requires you to do a lot more. In your busy life, you need to ensure that every time you go out, your precious bundle of joy is safe and secure. Initially, as a parent you want to carry your child around everywhere but with time it gets a bit hectic and requires a lot of effort. So the best thing to do is you get a stroller in which you can take your child around. It requires little effort from your end and allows your hands to be free for other things you want to do.

Things to Consider When Buying A Stroller

When it comes to buying a stroller there are numerous different things you must consider. Both baby's comfort and security tend to rank highest on parent's list. Those are important but first you need to know the type of stroller you want.

Single Strollers

Like the name suggests, strollers with one seat.

  • Traditional Strollers: the stroller tend to be heavier but are built very solid and sturdy. It is an all-purpose stroller with features you would need with a growing child. They are good for mobility and maneuver easily.
  • Combination strollers: the stroller are great for infants as many of them can easily accommodate a car seat. They typically cost more than a traditional stroller but can be used for years from infancy to the time when you no longer need a stroller.
  • Umbrella/lightweight strollers: If you move about quite a lot then these strollers are great for you. They are lightweight, making them easy to move around, and generally sturdy. Depending on the stroller you get they may lack seat support and suspension.
  • Car seat carrier strollers: the stroller come without a seat and are generally used for infants. All you have to do is situate the car seats on top. The frame of the stroller is generally light so easy to push around.

Double Strollers

Strollers that have double seats, to accommodate two children.

  • Side by side strollers: the stroller has two seats side by side. It gets easy to maneuver the stroller when moving around but generally the stroller is quite wide.
  • Tandem strollers: the stroller has one seat in front of the other so isn't too wide and can fit through the doorway. Steering with these strollers can be a bit tricky though.

Jogger Strollers

These strollers are great if you enjoy jogging. They have tires that come with a swivel and can change direction while the tires are generally bigger in size so they can easily adapt to rougher terrains.

With so many different variations of strollers, you need to really do some homework in order to figure out which one is the most suitable for you. Once you have figured out which stroller would be suitable for you, you need to consider the following:

Type of harness for safety: Most strollers come with a 5 point harness which provides exceptional safety. It really buckles the child down so no matter how bumpy the road is, they will stay inside the stroller. Some harnesses come with padding while some don’t so you may want to consider getting a stroller that has padded harness for comfort.

Weight of the stroller: Typically the more a stroller weighs the sturdier it is. However, as lighter building material has become stronger, you can now find lightweight strollers that are sturdy enough to last you years while also hold a child up to 50-70 lbs. So to make it easier for you to move about, lighter stroller are much better.

Ease of use - is it foldable: Traditional strollers were not foldable. Now with lightweight, innovative designs you find a wide variety of strollers that are foldable. Not only does this make storage easier but also carrying the stroller from one place to the other when not in use.

Seat comfort level: As strollers are becoming lighter, manufacturers are doing away with seats that are well padded. That doesn’t mean lighter strollers aren’t comfortable. However, if you prefer your child has a comfortable, padded seat then you may consider getting a heavier stroller.

Cost: You can’t really put a price on your child’s safety and comfort. However, that doesn’t mean you spend hundreds of dollars on a stroller when you can find one that offers the same functions at a lower price. You should set a budget and look within it. There are hundreds of different stroller manufacturer you can consider and at different price point.

Keeping these aspects in mind, we have tested and ranked the best of the best strollers in the market today.

The Best of Single Strollers

When it comes to single strollers, you will find many different variations. In fact, single strollers are the most common strollers you can find. We have ranked the five best single strollers you can find. The category of single stroller is vast and therefore we have left out jogging strollers since we will be ranking them separately.

Stroller Safety Tips

The safety of your child is important and you should consider the following tips:

  • Get a stroller with brakes: when you have your stroller in park, it is important to have the brakes on so the stroller doesn’t roll away.
  • Wide base strollers: if you aren’t careful with strollers, they can tip over. The wider the base of the stroller the less likely it will tip over.
  • Use the harness at all times: Most strollers come with a 5 point harness and it is important your child is buckled in at all times in the stroller.
  • Don’t hang bags on the handle: Heavy bags may cause the stroller to tip over if you hang them on the handles. So make sure not hang any bags from the handle.
  • Keep it away from the sun: It is important you store the stroller away from the sun when not in use. Otherwise the sun may cause plastic material to melt or even make metal parts hot which will end up burning your child.

When buying a stroller, make sure it is certified and always do some research beforehand. From time to time there are recalls on strollers so it is important you check and even after purchasing you follow up to see there is no recall on the stroller you purchase.

The stroller you get is important so you need to make sure you get one that puts your child’s safety first. So shop smart when buying your child’s stroller.

Evenflo SureRide DLX Convertible Car Seat

Evenflo SureRide DLX Convertible Car Seat Review

As a parent, you want your children to be safe at all times. You definitely want your child safe while they’re in the family car as anything can happen at any time, which is where a car seat comes into play. While safety is at the forefront of the things that you seek in a car seat, you also want one that looks nice, one that will let your child rear-face until they’re older (3 or 4 years of age) and face forward in a harness at the age of 5. You also want to do all of this at a budget friendly way. This Evenflo SureRide DXL convertible car seat review will break down the pros, cons, technical specs as well as the installation details so you can make an informative choice.

Parents should consider the Evenflo SureRide DLX convertible car seat. Not only can you get this car seat at an inexpensive price, but you’ll also keep this car seat until your children are in elementary school. Many parents don’t want to buy another car seat until their child can fit into a booster seat, which is usually around the age of 5. If this is the case, then the Evenflo SureRide DLX convertible car seat is perfect.

The Evenflo SureRide DLX convertible car seat is best suited for the following children:

  • Children who are between 5-40 pounds (rear facing)
  • Children who are between 20-65 pounds (forward facing)

Components

  • 2 positions for crotch buckle
  • 6 positions for harness slot (4 positions face the rear, 2 face the front)
  • FAA approved (parents can use it on an aircraft)
  • Lightweight
  • Seat expiration date: 6 years after first use
  • Made in the United States

Measurements

Slot heights for harness:

  • 6.5”
  • 8.5”
  • 10.5”

  • 17”
  • 19.25”
  • Widest point: 19”
  • Height of the shell: 26.5”

Installing the Evenflo SureRide DLX Convertible Car Seat

To install the seat in a rear facing position, engage the recline foot to make a good angle. If your car’s seats are at a steep slope and you need a bit more recline to install the seat, use a towel or blanket under the recline foot. Make sure that you install the seat so that the line of the recline that’s on the side of the car seat is at the same level as the bottom of your vehicle. This particular car seat is on the tall side, so it’s going to take up a lot of space in your back seat. Therefore, this car seat may not be the best solution for compact cars.

Installing this seat tends to be an easy process. However, taking the LATCH strap from the path that faces your child forward to the path that points your child to the rear of your car can be a hassle. To top it all off, when you take this car seat out of its box, the LATCH strap is looped through the forward facing belt path. If you have a newborn or younger child on your hands, you’ll have to move the strap before doing anything else. However, moving the strap isn’t too difficult.

When installing the SureRide DLX car seat, lift the cover off of the seat and thread the LATCH strap under the harness straps that you can usually find in the lap area. Take care not to interlace the straps. Unfortunately, the white strap that holds the LATCH strap to the car seat grips the LATCH very tightly. It makes you want to cut off the first strap, just so that you can free up the LATCH strap.

How To Fit the Evenflo SureRide DLX Convertible Car Seat To Your Child

This car seat can fit most children between 5 and 65 pounds. If you have a younger child on the lower end of that line, you’ll find that the fit is great. The SureRide has a wide range that it needs to properly fit, so the harness is fitted with 2 loop sets so that parents can shorten it for their babies. If you have a baby that weighs up to 10 pounds, you can actually shorten the buckle and thread it from the rear into a front facing slot.

Unfortunately, this car seat has a big gap between the 3rd and 4th harness slot sets. This can cause a slightly uncomfortable fit on children who are facing the rear of the vehicle. While you might be able to do some experimenting on your end to remedy this problem, other parents have found that there’s not much they can do about this situation other than facing their child forward. However, due to safety concerns you shouldn’t do this unless the harness absolutely won’t stay on their shoulders.

Maintenance Concerns

The good news is that parents can easily remove the cover from the car seat. Just throw it into the washing machine and dry it in your dryer. Clean the harness with a damp cloth.

Flying With the Evenflo SureRide DLX Convertible Car Seat

The SureRide is extremely lightweight and is FAA approved. The car seat won’t adjust to a full recline on a rear facing seat. This shouldn’t bother you unless you have a newborn baby that will need this feature. Some parents have also found that the car seat will not fit through the airport x-ray machines. If you plan on flying with the SureRide, arrive at the airport early to account for inspections.

Advantages

  • Easy installation
  • Lightweight
  • Nice looking
  • Easy maintenance
  • Made in the USA
  • Affordable

Disadvantages

  • Doesn’t fit through airport x-ray machines
  • Large gap between 3rd and 4th set of harness loops
  • Moving the LATCH strap can be a pain

Is The Evenflo SureRide DLX Convertible Car Seat Worth It?

The short answer: The SureRide is a lightweight, affordable and great looking car seat that will keep your children safe when they are in the car with you. While there are a few misses that make installation and use more of a pain, you’ll find that the SureRide offers you and your child many advantages that can be hard to find in other car seats at this price point.
